In this year’s ‘Best Digital Transformation Award’ category, Halliburton won for its Voice of the Oilfield® Approach, a digital solutions portfolio that helps operators achieve their assets’ maximum potential by closing the loop of well, field and asset management. It combines targeted applications of digital technologies – such as smart equipment, Internet of Things (IoT), edge analytics, and cloud – with production and reservoir workflows. Halliburton’s strong domain expertise guides operators on effective digital implementations that can quickly deliver significant results. With its open, collaborative platform, Voice of the Oilfield approach is able to integrate various types of technologies from different providers, thus maximizing operators’ net benefits.

A Voice of the Oilfield project is currently underway to assist an operating company with its digital transformation at one of the most challenging ultra-deepwater assets in the offshore Latin America. The project began by integrating ICV surveillance with automated well test control technology for faster completion optimization and improved production. The Voice of the Oilfield Edge device enables closed-loop monitoring and optimization. Ultimately, the project aims to push the boundary of reservoir recovery and help realize this deepwater asset’s full potential.
