Abstract
This webinar will be about data management from the well construction point of view. The oil industry has been generating safety-critical and very expensive data since its beginning. The well construction life cycle feeds from this type of data generated during the drilling phase of a well. Currently, the industry faces big challenges that frequently are unexpected: How reliable is the data generated during drilling operations? What is the source of the data? What is the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) process of the data? Is the data stored and manipulated properly?
For more than 20 years, Landmark has been performing drilling database audits or health checks. This allows customers to find out the current status of their data storage systems. It includes health checks of the basic components of any system, along with the required inputs, the process involved, and the outputs generated. After this analysis is performed, a series of recommendations and solutions can be obtained to answer the challenging questions that the oil industry is facing during this Big Data revolution time.
