Robello Samuel, PhD, is a Halliburton Technology Fellow for well engineering applications. Responsible for research and scientific activities for new technologies, he also conceives and develops creative and innovative technology in drilling solutions.
With more than 30 years of multi-disciplinary experience in domestic and international oil and gas drilling and completion operations, management, consulting, software development and teaching. Samuel holds concurrent adjunct professor appointments at the University of Houston and Texas Tech University, and has published more than 150 technical papers, reports, and books.
He serves on several Editorial Review Committees, is an SPE Distinguished Lecturer, and frequently lectures at conferences and university graduate seminars.
He has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madurai, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Master’s and PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
