Nasikul Islam is a Drilling and Completions Technical Advisor for Halliburton Landmark, based in the EESSA region, promoting the Digital Well Program™ solution and Well Construction on the Edge solutions. He is an SME for well engineering, managed pressure drilling, extended-reach drilling, high-pressure/high-temperature wells, and real-time operations centers. Mr. Islam focuses on practical applications for digital technologies related to well engineering, such as predictive well engineering and workflows, smart real-time technologies, data science, and machine learning applications for complex well engineering problems.
He is active with SPE technical sections on oil and gas digitization. Mr. Islam has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, and a master’s degree in petroleum engineering with a minor in materials science from the University of Utah.
