Jeffrey W. Pferd, Ph.D., is a senior member of the E&P Information Management team at Landmark. Pferd has more than twenty-five years of experience in the application of high technology systems, software and processes in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the development, implementation and management of technical computer applications for the upstream sector. He has pioneered engagement methodologies that help oil and gas companies maximize value from information technology investments. Examples include workflow models for E&P data, cost and benefit assessments, data management maturity model meeting management, and integration and classification of unstructured data. Recent projects include successful management of a proof-of-concept project to introduce Landmark’s new technology, help set information naming standards at a large NOC in Asia Pacific and facilitated the transition from traditional service contracts to a managed services framework in a large IOC. Before Landmark's acquisition of Petris in 2012, Pferd was a senior member of the Petris management team beginning in 1997.
Pferd earned a Ph.D, from University of Massachusetts, a master's degree from the University of Georgia and a bachelor's degree in geology from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
