Exploration Insights incorporates an extensive database of geological literature for the China region, which is fully searchable to clients. This bibliographic database forms the foundation for making regional interpretations of our subsurface dataset, using the framework of our sequence stratigraphic model. Using this process Exploration Insights provides detailed interpretations of all the main sedimentary basins in the region, as well as offering a predictive interpretation in data-sparse areas, with an aim to deliver insight on future prospectivity.

Following a long history of conventional petroleum exploration in China, the focus in recent years has shifted to exploring the potentially vast unconventional resource of the region.
