Extensive outcrop and well datasets throughout the region have been interpreted using our third order sequence stratigraphic scheme and integrated with the latest understanding of the plate tectonic evolution of this complex region. These regionally integrated interpretations aid our understanding of current exploration hotspots like the east coast of Mexico, data-poor areas such as the Nicaraguan Rise and the Lesser Antilles, and exceptionally tectonically complex areas such as offshore Cuba. Use of analogous basins and geological trends are used to develop a better understanding of stratigraphy, basin structure and ultimately the petroleum systems across the region.
